Liturgy and Formation

Liturgy and formation are important priorities for the Archbishop's Office for Evangelisation. The Office seeks to provide guidance, service and support for those involved in liturgical ministry and the whole community of faith:

  • Parishes and deaneries
  • Ministers
  • Communities
  • Schools
  • Liturgical committees

The Office will provide resources and formation opportunities for sacramental preparation and liturgical celebration in general, the Catechumenate and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, and formation for liturgical music and ministers.

Our trained staff offer a consultancy service within the Office, over the phone, or in local communities with parishioners, pastoral ministers and school groups - by request.

The Office produces the quarterly journal, The Summit.

The liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; at the same time it is the fount from which all the Church's power flows.
